20-Miler Challenge Guided Hikes

Just days after the launch of Wilco’s 20-Miler Challenge to celebrate the one-year anniversary of River Ranch, eager hikers got a head start on accumulating mileage along park trails. The first of ten Saturday morning Guided Hikes organized by FRRCP and conducted by Hike Leaders with the Sun City Hiking Club took place on July 27 along Trailblazer Routes #1 and #2.

 

Each of the Challenge's five suggested “Trailblazer Routes” will be offered to the public twice prior to the event’s November 30 deadline. These customized routes average about 5.0 miles in distance at a moderate pace and, when completed, provide an opportunity for hikers to explore all 20 miles of the RRCP trail system.
